I’m an art instructor at a local college and wanted a great video of Pollock to explain my students. This biography was well done and right. I know the students will relish it.

If you like frenetic film making–split screens, three second sound bits, spinning photographs, fleet zooms, synthesized music, fragmented chronicle lines, etc.–this may be for you. I personally found the editing so execrable that it actually distorts the subject matter. The filmmaker appears far more concerned with show-casing their gain genius than with creating an appropriate and thoughtful style for exploring Pollock’s. Though “Jackson Pollock: Admire and Death on Long Island” is far less slick, its overall mood and coast seem far more appropriate to the events of Pollock’s life.
